The Rugbytots play programme is designed to give children between the ages of 2 and 5 years their first introduction to rugby before hopefully progressing into our well established mini/junior division. Sessions are led by Rugbytots’ engaging, enthusiastic and highly qualified independent coaches who have each been selected and trained by former professional rugby player, James Ireland. Based around learning through play, Rugbytots introduces fundamental rugby skills such as throwing, catching, kicking, and running with the ball, as well as helping to build self-confidence through teamwork. Social distancing measures are in place to ensure the safety of all participants and coaches.

Rugbytots will be brought to Newark Rugby Club by former professional rugby player, James Ireland. Throughout his career, James enjoyed playing in the Welsh Premiership, Pro 14 and Italian ‘Top Ten’ and is excited to share his passion and knowledge of the sport with the next generation.
